So like, I have absolutely no idea what's happened on LJ for the past week or so. Mostly work in general that's been in the way, plus my brother/sister-in-law being in town has kept me away from checking entries. So umm, I don't think many people on my Friends list know this, but I'm a HUGE fan of the game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time -- particularly the story. And in case you haven't heard...a live-action film loosely based on the game is coming out next summer, being made by no other than Jerry Bruckheimer himself. The first official trailer for the movie just released today from IGN...and as skeptical as I am of games coming over to the big screen, this one seems to show some promise (though unfortunately it's not following the script of the game, hence why I said it was "loosely" based on it).



So...anyone else looking forward to this? :3 *bats eyelashes*

Namco considering a sequel to Tales of Vesperia.

Not sure what to think of this. I'm sure Vesperia fans wouldn't mind one, but...what would the game be about? I guess they can always think of something since there's already been sequels to two mothership titles already.

I think an Abyss sequel would garner more reception though...<.< *shot*

Blargh I just got up from a nap of sorts and I'm groggy as hell. Probably going to hit the sack again very soon.

I've been wanting to update for a while, but something just happens to come up every time I try to...I know there's been things I've been wanting to post about, so...maaaaaaybe tomorrow if I don't get too busy.

Well my paid account is going to expire very soon...still contemplating about whether to renew it or not. At least now I can actually afford keeping one -- though I've noticed I've become so much more money-conscious now just because I know exactly what it's like not to have any money at all, haha >.>;; Kind of ironic because I think I actually used to spend more during that time...

By the way, for those who preordered Vesperia PS3 and didn't get the Abyss bonuses (or you just didn't preorder), apparently there's still a way to get the Abyss costumes on your game. I don't know anyone online who tried this but uhh, if it works then yay! [EDIT: Nevermind, apparently shinryu_nanashi had already found this and I hadn't seen it. D: Thanks though~] (And thanks to roseice for the thread that gave the heads-up. XD)

And speaking of Vesperia...wtf, Tales Brigade actually sent me a brand new copy of the 360 (regular) version of Tales of Vesperia (and seemingly autographed by someone). o_O I had sent an email to Undine about a week ago because I hadn't gotten my stuff from them, which was supposedly a Dawn of the New World T-shirt + Tales Anniversary soundtrack...and then today I got the package which included that plus they decided to throw in a Tokunaga head and Vesperia. @_@ Heh well that was nice of them...probably an apology for me having to wait so long...but it would've been nice to get the premium edition instead.

(And in case anyone's noticed...yes, I do happen to be a closet Mortal Kombat fan of sorts. XD I realize the series is shallow as hell, though I'm more of a fan of Kitana than anything else [since the MK II days]).

Only posting now because I'm having a hard time deciding whether it'd be worth it to actually preorder Tales of Vesperia (PS3) or not. On one hand, I wasn't an absolutely *humungous* fan of the original game (blasphemy, I know), so I don't know how much more I'd actually enjoy this one, let alone in a language I wouldn't even understand. On the other hand...they did add several things to the game and I feel like I'd be missing out on quite a bit if I didn't play it. Not to mention the Abyss costumes...>_>;;;

Of course, I don't have a PS3 yet but I do plan on getting one once I get enough saved up.

Well nothing much has really happened with me lately. Oh, but we finally started renting out our basement to someone for a six-month period. He seems like a decent guy, so hopefully things will go smoothly with him.

On the job front, there's a chance I could get in something pretty soon but nothing's really been finalized yet. We'll see.

Luke + Kratos = <3333

But the Luke one is pretty much a rip off of LH Luke in the Abyss series, except they gave an angry face to Mieu. Everyone else was pretty much expected, but uhh, what is Asbel already doing there? Are they trying to feed off of the Suzaku fanbase or something Repede coming with Yuri is pretty cute, aww. Apparently Lloyd and Kratos have gummies, which look really weird in the pic. And there's apparently a Zelos one and two other secret ones, yay and w00t.

Well, had another pretty busy weekend. My aunt's husband and their daughter came from New Jersey (to pick up my aunt and their other daughter who had come about a week earlier) and they were only staying for a couple days, so we spent some time with them on Saturday. Had a wedding reception at noon on Sunday, then went with my sister-in-law for her cousin's bridal shower (sorta) in the evening.

I also had two interviews last week. First one was plain weird...lasted for only ten minutes, then at the end the guy was like, "I like your resume but we don't have any openings right now. If we get a couple more clients though, we'll call you again within a month." Like, uhh, okaaaaaaaayyy. Second was longer but...MY VOICE KEPT CRACKING. UGH. WHY. I WASN'T EVEN THAT NERVOUS, I SWEAR. But he said there was one more person he was going to interview and he'd let me know within a week if I had gotten the position...we'll see what happens.

Wow I don't think I've been online since like, Friday night (besides checking email on my iPhone). This must be a new record....pretty busy weekend, I guess.

Well after the movie I stayed over at a friend's house on Friday night. Stayed over at my grandma's on Saturday, and then Sunday was my little cousin's birthday party.

Should you invite people to your wedding who didn't invite you to theirs?

Just a random question I felt like asking over here and on Facebook. No, I'm not getting married anytime soon.

So my parents went off to Bangladesh on Saturday. Fortunately they arrived there safe and sound, but they did get some harassment in New York. They were chosen to be randomly checked before boarding the plane and were also asked to report how much money they were carrying, but my dad apparently wrote down a lesser amount than the actual figure. Kind of weird he did that; not sure if he simply just estimated because he usually tries to comply with law enforcement as best as he can. He apologized as much as he could; they finally let them go but not before the guy threatened them that he could have canceled their flight. At least everything's fine now...

I've also started a workout routine of sorts now. I've always been bad at running, but I started to run/jog (with some walking in the middle) for about 2 miles each day (usually before lunchtime), and I also try to power-walk for a mile at night. Also trying to control my diet as well. I'd actually like to lose about 20 or so pounds...I really don't consider myself overweight, but it'd be nice to finally fit into some clothes better that I normally couldn't fit into before...I've lost a few pounds since I've started but it's getting a bit harder to go lower than that now.

In terms of career-related stuff, I'm seriously thinking about pursuing a PhD now. Obviously nothing happening on the job front and well, I don't really have any other strong commitments that take up much of my time. There's a doctorate program at UIC for Public Health, so that's right up my alley...hmmm...

Just posting this because I guess I haven't been posting at all lately. Well I haven't really been online in general either because I was pretty busy over the weekend. Still trying to figure out what I really need to do...like whether I need to pursue higher education or something. Just going to try applying and applying to jobs in the meantime I guess.

My brother and sister-in-law made a surprise visit yesterday. I had already known they were coming, but my parents didn't and most of my relatives still have yet to find out. They actually drove from Phoenix all the way to Chicago, without even stopping anywhere for the night. They'll be with us till August. Well my parents are leaving in less than a week for Bangladesh, but at least they won't have to worry about me staying all by myself in the house.

I may not be online too much for a while I think...not sure yet. But if you don't see me posting for a while, don't be surprised.

So about that interview that happened...okay well, it went alright I guess. The problem though is that apparently they...didn't have any openings. I-I mean...wtf. What I don't get either is that according to someone else I was talking to (and the one who pretty much set up this meeting in the first place) said that he was "definitely going to take [me]." So now he's going to try talking to the interviewer again and see what's actually going on.

Blah. I don't know why I keep getting into a dead-end like this. I was also apparently supposed to get calls two weeks ago from three different places. Not one of them tried contacting me.

Well I'm actually going to be out of town for the rest of the week, so I may not be on too much. I'll try to, but it depends on my schedule. There's so many LJs I need to comment to as well >.<

Seems like I have a job interview of sorts tomorrow...wish me luck! :D and also pray that these people actually pay their employees
